Silves

On the way back from Portimão Maria J. drove to Silves, a little town with a castle – which she tried to show me. Unfortunately there were an ongoing exhibition and we were not allowed to enter – because it was closed for the day. We visited this small town instead and we have seen some interesting buildings. The most amazing at this place were the storks. There were almost six pairs breeding respectively they already had got their children. I have seen storks in Faro, too, by the way – with their nest on a street light, but these storks had their nests on industrial chimneys, which were not in use anymore.
