Dorothee International My very wish for years and years was to see Canada. Actually I would have liked to start with this country, when I started to travel other continents than Europe, but I retired in October 2015 and was not interested in to see Canada during the Canadian winter. Though North America became my third continent to travel (after Europe and Oceania).
Starting in May 2016 in Canada I traveled a part of the United States of America, too. I was going forth and back between these countries, spending most time in Canada, which I traveled from East to West: Ontario – Quebec – Ontario – Manitoba – Saskatchewan – Alberta – British Columbia. In the USA I visited Montana – Wyoming – South Dakota on my first trip – (state of) Washington – Oregon – California – Nevada – Arizona – Utah – Idaho – Montana – Nevada on my second trip – California on my third trip. Last but not least I spent three days in Mexico, which nowadays counts to North America, while at the time I learned about it at school, it was a part of Central America. I visited Baja California, but only Tijuana, to find out, how save Mexico is.
In 2018 I continued traveling Mexico. The states of Mexico I visited were: Baja California – Baja California Sur – Sinaloa – Sonora – Chihuahua – Coahuila – Nuevo Leon – Tamaulipas – Veracruz – Tabasco – Campeche – Yucatan – Quintana Roo – Chiapas – Oaxaca – Puebla – Morelos – Mexico city (CDMX) – Estado de Mexico (EDOMEX) – Tlaxcala – Guerrero – Hidalgo – Querétaro – San Luis Potosi – Guanajuato – Jalisco – Aguascalientes – Michoacán – Colima – Nayarit – Durango – Zacatecas. On my way home for Christmas I had a stop over in New York, NY, USA.
This year, 2019, I planned to go back to Mexico. There are still some “white places”, especially in Chiapas, Oaxaca, Puebla and Guerrero. I think I will need two more month in this country I love. Afterwards I really will see the rest of Central America, which means: Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Costa Rica and Panama. I hope I can start at the end of April or in May, because I have to get my teeth done and need to see a doctor for my heart function. Meanwhile we together are waiting for, that my RTW-trip will continue, take a look at how it is at my home = in Sweden (will come soon).
